A high-level delegation led by Somali prime minister, Hassan Ali Kheire on Wednesday arrived in Baidoa, the interim capital of the Southwest state.
Southwest state President Sharif Hassan, regional lawmakers, Ministers and members of the civil society have welcomed the PM and his delegation upon arrival at the airport.
During his stay in Baidoa, PM Khaire is expected to hold talks with Southwest President and other officials discuss wide ranges including security and military fight against Alshabaab.
The security of Baidoa has been beefed up ahead of the PM’s arrival on Wednesday.
This is the first visit by Hassan Ali Khaire to the southern strategic city of Baidoa since he was appointed as the country’s Prime Minister in February 2017.
