New NISA Chief Formally Takes Office
The new NISA chief Hussein Mohamed Hussein has formally taken the oath of office during a well-organized handover ceremony in Mogadishu Wednesday.
Top security commanders, members of the Parliament, and other government officials have attended the event, where the acting NISA boss handed over the office to Hussein.
The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Abukar Islow “Dualle” who was among the attendants urged the new commander to work honestly and efficiently for the nation.
The new head of NISA – National Intelligence and Security has been the deputy Minister for health and served in previous Somali governments before his appointment.
Hussein who was also a member of Somali Parliament is succeeding Sanbalolshe who has been sacked last year following Oct 14 deadly truck bombing in the capital which left 512 people dead.
