The New Interior Minister Lands In Mogadishu, Calls For Collaboration

The newly appointed Minister of Interior for the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdi Mohamed Sabriye has arrived in the capital, Mogadishu on Friday.

The newly appointed Minister of Interior for the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdi Mohamed Sabriye has arrived in the capital, Mogadishu on Friday.

On arrival at Aden Abdulle International Airport, the Minister has been warmly welcomed by a number of Cabinet Ministers and the mayor of Mogadishu Thabit Abdi Mohamed.

Sabriye has appreciated the cordial welcome and called on Somalis to collaborate with him to streamline his ministry work, saying: Without people’s support, we cannot achieve.”

The new Minister is expected to take over the office from Abdi Farah Sa’ed Juha, who has been sacked on Thursday, along with Foreign and Trade Minister by Somali PM Hassan Ali Khaire.
