More Than 200 MPs Accuse Jawari Of Violating The Constitution

The proponents of the impeachment motion against the embattled speaker of the Lower house Mohamed Osman Jawari numbering 223 MPs have released a new statement.

The opposition lawmakers who have tabled the impeachment accused Jawari of being an impediment Parliamentary proceedings, according to the statement released on Friday.

The statement came amid deepening political crisis in the country and on the eve of a vote on a no-confidence motion against Jawari on Saturday, 31st March.

The Federal government of Somalia has deployed more troops on the main roads in the capital on Friday, limiting the movement of the public transportation ahead of the vote.
