Madobe meets with senate speaker

The President of Jubaland, Ahmed Madobe, received at his residence in Mogadishu the Speaker of the Upper House, Abdi Hashi, and Senator Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartag.

The meeting, which was a briefing, discussed the crisis in the country as well as election issues. It comes as the PM is expected to hold a meeting with regional leaders this week.

The international community urged Somali leaders to convene a consultative forum on the acceleration of the election which failed to meet its deadlines last year.
