Calm returns to Somali town after Al-Shabaab capture

Reports from the Hiran region in central Somalia say that military activities are being felt in the Mataban district of the region on Tuesday.

This came after Al-Shabaab militants took briefly the town on Monday from Galmudug state police. The town is now under the control of the government forces.

Al-Shabaab has also been active in the area, resulting in many residents expressing fears of fighting on the outskirts of Mataban.
