Jubaland receives UK ambassador at his office in Kismayo

The President of Jubaland state Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today received at the Guest House the UK Ambassador to Somalia, Kate Foster.

The meeting discussed the drought situation and the impact on the people in some areas, Jubaland has in the past few months called for aid to the affected people.

The meeting also discussed the ongoing parliamentary elections in Somalia.

The President was accompanied by cabinet ministers including Deputy Minister of Planning and International Relations Mohamed Omar Jama, Minister of Relief and Disaster Management Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, and Minister of Energy and Water Resources Ahmed Hussein Baraki.
