Information Minister appoints new directors for State media and National Theatre

Information Minister Mohamed Abdi Mareye has moved out directors of the state media agencies bringing new teams.

In a directive Sunday, Mareye appointed Yahye Ali Farah the new director of Radio Mogadishu while Farah Salah Dharar will now head the national television, SNTV.

The state news agency, SONNA was also affected by the new changes with Ali Abdulkadir being appointed to head the agency.

The Minister also brought in a new team at the newly revamped National Theatre and National Archives. Mohamed Hassan Barrow was appointed head of administration and finance while Ahmed Farah Mohamed has been tasked to head the National Archives.

Mulki Ibrahim Mohamed will be head of management. The changes take effect immediately according to the minister’s directive.
