Car Bombing In Mogadishu Kills 1, Wounds At Least 3 People
At least one person was killed and three others have been wounded in a car bomb explosion in Mogadishu, the Somali capital on Saturday, police, and witnesses said.
The blast has resulted from an improvised explosive device [IED] fitted into a vehicle which exploded at around Daljirka Dahson Monument in the capital early in the morning.
The victims of the car bomb are reported to be from same family members, except a passer-by woman who has sustained slight wounds, according to a Somali Police officer.
It’s yet unclear why the IED has been attached to the car with the civilians, and no group has so far claimed credit for the attack, but, police said an investigation was underway.
The explosion was the latest incident in a series of incidents in the capital, some claimed by the Al-Qaeda-linked militant group Al-Shabaab.
