At least two people, including a child, were reported to have been wounded in a car bomb explosion in Mogadishu, the Somali capital on Monday evening.

At least two people, including a child, were reported to have been wounded in a car bomb explosion in Mogadishu, the Somali capital on Monday evening.

A witness told that the blast was caused by an explosive-laden parked outside the Village Restaurant located near Benadir junction in the capital.

The wounded have been immediately taken to a hospital for treatment by the local ambulances. Their injuries are not life-threatening, medics said.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the car bombings, but, such attacks in the city often blamed on Al Shabab, an Al-Qaeda-linked group fighting the Somali government.
