Al Shabaab Claims Killing Kenyan Military Officer In Somalia

The Al-Qaeda-linked militant group of Al-Shabaab said it has killed a senior Kenyan military officer in Somalia, claim that comes amid increasing operations against the militants.

In a statement sent to the newsrooms, Al Shabaab announced that the commander of Fahfahdhun village, 70Km away from Bardere was killed in a mortar shelling on KDF base.

Two other soldiers from the Kenyan military were also killed in the attack.

Kenyan defence ministry has not yet commented on the claim of Al-Shabaab, regarding the murder of the KDF commender.
