Suicide bomb rocks Beleweyne ahead of Sunday elections

A suicide bomb has rocked a restaurant in Beletweyne, central Somalia a day before Lower House elections take place.

Sources in the town the bomb blew up Bar Hassan restaurant in the centre of the town but the number of casualties remains unclear.

The incident happened a few hours after security forces loyal to National Security Advisor Fahad Yasin arrived in the town from Mogadishu ahead of Sunday’s poll which Yasin will be contesting.
