Farmajo condoles over the death of a prominent melodist

The President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has sent his deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Abdikarim Farah Qarey (Jiir), Deputy Director of the National Theater, who passed away today in Mogadishu.

President Farmajo noted that the late Abdikarim Farah Qaarey (Jiir) was a poet, musician, and cultural figure who played a key role in the development of Somali art and literature, to raise awareness in our community, as part of the Iftin Group of the Ministry of Education.

“May ALLAH has mercy on the late Abdikarim Farah Jiir who has served his country and his people for a long time, especially in the fields of art, literature, and cultural development in Somalia,” said Farmajo.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo prayed to ALLAH to make Jannatul Fardowsa his home, and to give patience and faith to his family, relatives, and the Somali people in general.
