Cargo plane catches fire after landing southwestern Somalia

A Ugandan registered cargo plane chartered by WFP travelling from Mogadishu caught fire shortly after landing at Dholow Airport in the Gedo region.

Pictures from the scene show the C-160 aircraft engulfed in flames.

A government spokesperson said the plane’s captain and one crew member made it off-board safely.

There was no immediate report on the number of casualties.
