Turkey has airlifted 16 badly wounded Somalis with a military plane to its country for proper treatment following Saturday’s deadly attack in Mogadishu’s Ex-control Afgoye.

The president of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and other government officials have bidden farewell to the victims on Sunday at Aden Adde International airport.

The cargo plane brought medical supplies and doctors on Saturday evening to help the wounded people in local hospitals in Mogadishu.

The embassy said Turkey emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in the fight against terrorism on every platform and having lost two citizens in this attack.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, however, Somali president blamed Al-Shabaab for being orchestrating the menace.
