Two civilians injured in AMISOM convoy attack in Mogadishu

At least two civilians were injured when an AMISOM convoy was hit by a landmine in SOS area in Mogadishu’s Hilwaa district.

Eye witnesses told HOL one of the AMISOM trucks drove into a landmine leading to the casualties.

Those injured were near the scene of the incident, sources said.

It was not immediately clear if the AMISOM soldiers were affected in the attack.

Al-Shabaab has on several occasions planted landmines targeted AU and Somali forces along routes commonly used by the troops.

AMISOM has not commented on the matter yet.
