“We have learned with great sorrow of the terrorist attack in Mogadishu, resulting in numerous deaths and the injury of many others. We strongly condemn this treacherous attack that aims to undermine the stability of Somalia,” said a Foreign Ministry statement.

The statement also wished “God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, a speedy recovery to the wounded”.

A suicide car bomb hit Somalia’s capital earlier on Monday, killing at least six people and injuring more than 10 others.

Al-Shabaab car bomb attack at Howlwadag district headquarters on September 2, in Mogadishu, has resulted in numerous deaths, including civilians and soldiers.
