Suicide bomber attacks Turkish military academy in Mogadishu

A suicide bomber who disguised himself as recruit has blown himself up in an attack at the Turkish-run military training academy in Mogadishu on Tuesday.

Sources at the TurkSom training centre said the attacker managed to join the queue for the ongoing recruitment exercise at the facility without being detected and blew himself up.

There is no information yet regarding any casualties.

The facility was built by the Turkish government at a reported cost of $50 million and is located along the Indian Ocean strip in Mogadishu some 5 kilometres from Aden Adde Airport.
