Somaliland has condemned the recent visit by Somalia’s Federal minister of planning and international corporation Jamal Mohamed Hassan to Sool and Sanaag regions.
The Minister of foreign affairs of Somaliland Sa’ad Ali Shire described the visit as clear violations of the talks between his state and the Federal government of Somalia.
He said Somaliland has a distinctive border with Somalia and it will not tolerate any intervention from the Federal government and other administrations.
The Minister added that Hassan’s trip will upset the communication between Somaliland and Somalia, as well as it affects the security in the contested regions.
This remarks came a day after the Planning Minister accompanied by Puntland officials visited towns in Sool and Sanaag, where he had met with the local leaders and the people.
