Somaliland Administration Postpones Planned Talks With Somali Federal Government

The President of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi is scheduled to meet with Somalia president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed in Djibouti for the resumption of the talks between Somali Federal government and Somaliland administration.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dr. Sa’ad Ali Shire officially announced the talks between Somaliland administration and Somali government delayed for a month due to the current issues.

The minister said the current situation is not possible to enter into that talks between his administration and the Somali government.

Foreign Minister says “The Talks with Somali government Postponed for a Month Due To The Current Issues Subject to Review After that Period .”Said Minister Sa’ad Ali Shire.

The talks began dates back to early 2012 when the London Conference on Somalia, held at Lancaster House on 23 February resulted in a communiqué.

This document raised ‘the need for the international community to support any dialogue that Somaliland administration and Somalia may concur to define their future collaboration.

The talks collapsed several times after the two sides tabled hard conditions.
