Somalia Signs Convention On The Rights Of Persons With Disabilities

The Minister of Women and Human Rights Development of the Federal Government of Somalia Mr. Deeqa Yasiin has signed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in New York City.

Somalia became the 178th signatories of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which means that the Somali government has stood up to protect the rights of people with disabilities.

The Disabled People in the country welcomed this move as an important step in becoming a Somali state signed by the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
