Somalia Denies Ordering Kenyans Out Of Country

The government of Somalia has disowned a statement suggesting it has declared all Kenyans within its boundaries persona non grata.

While responding to inquiries regarding the viral communication, Directorate of Communications, Office of the President in Federal Republic of Somalia termed the message as fake.

The statement comes with that backdrop of a diplomatic tiff pitting Kenya and Somalia. This is after it emerged that Somalia auctioned off several gas and oil block in the Indian Ocean to the UK on Thursday, February 7.

The development saw the government send away Somalia Ambassador to Kenya Mohammed Muhamud Nur. The government also recalled its Ambassador to Mogadishu Lucas Tumbo for consultation on the matter.
