Somalia Calls On Arab League Countries To Reopen Embassies In Mogadishu

The Ministry of foreign affairs for Somalia’s Federal Government has called on the Arab League countries to reopen their embassies in the capital Mogadishu.

Somalia has congratulated the Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on the 73rd anniversary of the bloc’s foundation on 22nd March 1945.

The foreign affairs ministry has thanked the Arab League member states for their continued brotherly support for Somalia during the years of the conflict and droughts.

Somalia has officially joined the Arab League on 14th February 1974.
