The country’s leader left Mogadishu for Muscat on Sunday to offer his condolences to the new ruler Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said over the death of Sultan Qaboos last Friday.

The late Sultan Qaboos died on Friday at 79 after 50 years as Oman’s ruler.

Many dignitaries from around the world have been powering into Muscat to offer their condolences.

Many leaders praised Sultan Qaboos who was described by some as a friend of all.
