Somali President Arrives In Baidoa For Regional Leader’s Inauguration

A delegation led by President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo arrived Baidoa, the interim administrative capital of the Southwest regional state of Somalia on Wednesday.

A delegation led by President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo arrived Baidoa, the interim administrative capital of the Southwest regional state of Somalia on Wednesday.

On landing at Shaati Gaduud airport, president Farmajo and his delegation were welcomed by the Southwest state leader, Abdulaziz Mohamed Hassan alias Lafta Gareen and other officials of the state.

The head of the state and other senior officials from both the federal government and regional state administrations will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Southwest state leader, Abdulaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafta Gareen which will be held at Baidoa presidential palace.

Somali security agencies backed by the AMISOM peacekeeping troops have beefed up the security to ensure the safety of the guests during the inauguration process.
