Somali PM Visits Troops Readied For Anti-Al Shabaab Offensive

Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire flanked by Police commander-in-chief paid a visit to troops stationed at a military base in northern Mogadishu on Saturday night.

PM Khaire has the forces comprising of Police, Intelligence and Military readied for a new offensive against Al Shabaab militants in the south and central Somalia.

The Prime Minister was briefed by members of the joint force commanders about their preparation for the fresh anti-al-Shabaab assault, according to a statement released by PM’s office.

On behalf of the President Farmajo, PM Khaire has expressed support for the soldiers and encouraged them to stand for the liberation of al-Shabaab from the remaining towns.
