Somali PM Expected To Pay His First Demotic Visit To Kismayo

The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hassan Ali Khaire is expected to pay his first visit to Kismayo, a port city in Southern Somalia in the coming few hours.

Jubbaland State is in final preparation for the welcoming of the country’s PM, who is currently in Mogadishu the state funeral of the late constitution minister, Abdi Hosh Jibril.

The security of Kismayo has been extremely tightened ahead of the PM’s arrival, with state troops deployed across the main streets.

The relations between Jubbaland and the central government has been at a low point in the past years following a fall out over the resources sharing and other national issues.
