Somalia’s Lower House of parliament has on Wednesday passed two significant bills during their meeting in Mogadishu.

The public financial management bill and the Corporate Legislation bill was unanimously approved by the members via a vote.

148 members voted for the first bill to become a law, six opposed while two others abstained.

On the other hand, all 156 members present an approved company or Corporate Legislation Bill.

The two crucial bills which are very significant to the Ministry of Finance will be submitted to the President for assent before adopted as a new law.

Somalia’s lower House of parliament is expected to on recess during New Year’s Eve before returning for the seventh session.
