Letter from the First Deputy Speaker Abdiweli Sheikh Mudey  office said the decision was reached following “huge division”  that marred the significant house committee.

Hon. Mudey letter copied to the speaker, 2nd deputy and parliament also said the committee violated the lower house of the people standing orders by submitting report linked to financial mismanagement in the ministry of finance last week.

He added that the house will urgently put in place new members and set date for the election of new chair.

Member of the dissolved finance house committee who spoke to the media has dismissed deputy speaker’s letter saying he has no constitutional power to so.

Honorable Abdullahi Mohamed Nour who is also the secretary of the committee said the government is behind the move.

He added that Prime Minister Hassan Kheyre office will be responsible for the mixup.

Somali parliament finance committee has last week forced finance minister Dr. Abdirahman Beyle to appear before the floor and explain the allege disappearance of USD 42 Million from the 2019 budget that is waiting approval from the parliament.
