THREE men have been charged with murder after a 25-year-old lag was stabbed to death at Wormwood Scrubs prison.

It is believed the inmate was attacked by a group of inmates while in the cell of another prisoner.

He was discovered slumped in a cell at around 3 pm on Wednesday.

Ahmed Khyre, 21, Kalif Dibbassey, 21, and Enton Marku, 20, all appeared at Willesden Magistrates Court yesterday charged with murder.

The lags will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, cops confirmed.

A 23-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder was released under investigation following the horror.

Police and paramedics were scrambled to the Category B prison in West London on Wednesday at around 3.20pm but Saleh didn’t make it.

The 25-year-old moved to the UK 13 years ago from Somalia, with his mother, three older brothers and sister.

It has been reported that he lived in Tower Hamlets with his wife and their two-year-old son.

His family hit out at prison bosses, saying : “He should have been safe”.

Jail bosses had been warned of an “abundance” of weapons at  Wormwood Scrubs in West London.

The Prison Officers Association said: “This is a consequence of staff cuts.”

Wormwood Scrubs, a Category B jail, was one of ten slated in the 201-17 Prison Annual Ratings, published by the Prison and Probation Service.
