Regional Troops Carry Out Operation In Jowhar After Bomb Attack

HirShabelle security forces have carried out a security operation in Jowhar following a bomb attack on Saturday afternoon.

One person was killed and five others sustained injuries after an inland explosive attack in Jowhar, the capital of Hirshabelle state on Saturday.

The blast was targeted at a busy bus stop area in the city center.

Among the injured is a member of Hirshabelle state parliament, Zakariya Mumin Hilowle.

The injured were admitted to various health facilities in the area.

Al-Shabaab has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
