In the report, President Uhuru declared that the country would track down all the perpetrators of the attack and ensure justice is served.

“We will seek out every person that was involved in planning, funding, and execution of this attack. We are on highest alert and we shall remain so,” he stated.

He further sent out his condolences to the families of all those who were affected by the heinous act.

“I must also state, that we are also a nation that never forgets those who heart our children he stated,” he stated.

Uhuru commended all the fighting teams who helped neutralise the attack declaring that the country was ready to take any threat head-on as well as a return to work.

In his address, Uhuru confirmed that more than 700 victims were evacuated to safety during the attack that lasted more than 16 hours.

“The Operational priority of the security services was first and foremost to safeguard civilian life. They acted swiftly to contain the attackers and methodically evacuate those whose lives were at risk,” he continued.

He commended Kenyans for showing unity and strength during the trying times while urging them to report any suspicious person or activity to the police.

He further called on all leaders to speak out during the pursuance of the terrorist groups promising that they would offer the perpetrators no relief.

“We will allow no one to derail our progress.” he declared.

Uhuru also confirmed that 14 people were killed but all the attackers were eliminated.
