At least two soldiers and a civilian died when their three-wheel car, commonly referred to as Bajaja rammed by AMISOM armoured vehicle outside Mogadishu
The accident occurred in “Ceelasha Biyaha” area along Mogadishu – Afgoye highway .
According to locals, the bodies of the victims had been lying at scene for hours before they were taken to Madina Hospital.
Officers at Criminal Investigation Department have launched investigation into incident.
Speaking to VOA Somali, Omar Jaylani, a brother of one of the victims said that AMISOM soldiers involving in the accident were detained.
The command of African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has not yet commented on the incident.
AMISOM has previously been accused of killing civilians, including an incident in which armored vehicles ran over civilians’ cars.
