Landmine Wounds At Least One Police Officer In Central Somalia

A Somali Police officer was confirmed wounded on Sunday morning in an explosion outside a cafe in Bulo-Burde town in central Somalia.

The district commissioner, Abdi Dahir has confirmed the explosion to Radio Shabelle, saying it was a minor incident that did not leave anyone dead.

Residents alleged that a loud explosion was heard.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack which comes amid ongoing military operation in the country to flash out Al Shabaab from remaining strongholds.
