HirShabelle Leaders Accused Of Failing Security And War On Al Shabaab

MP Tarig Ibrahim Ahmed, who is a member of HirShabelle regional assembly has blamed the top leaders of the state for failing the security and the fight against Al Shabaab.

Ahmed has voiced concern over the current security situation in the region after Al-Shabaab has blockaded key towns under HirShabelle control, prompting road closure.

The state lawmaker said the top officials from the region are at the luxury hotels in Mogadishu amid worsening security and increase in Al Shabaab attacks in HirShabelle.

The legislator has called on HirShabelle president Mohamed Abdi Waare to focus on security and state-building as to the region is currently facing major challanges.
