The first attack took place in Suuqa Holaha area in Heliwa district after a hand grenade was hurled at a security checkpoint.

A similar blast was heard around the residence of the deputy commissioner of Heliwa district on social affairs, according to the witnesses.

There were no immediate reports of casualties and no group has claimed responsibility for both attacks, but, local Police said an investigation into the incident is underway.
