At least four people have been killed and six others were injured on Tuesday after their lorry veered off the road and rolled several times in Somalia’s Midug region.
Residents in Gawan village where the tragedy occurred said that the incident happened on Tuesday morning after the driver of the lorry lost control of the lorry before it veered off the road and rolled.
The locals in the area join hands to rescue the people injured during the accident.
Ambulance officers and paramedics said the injuries have been ferried to Galkayo town where they are undergoing treatment.
The traffic police officers who reached the scene to assess the accident have declined to give comments on the incident saying they are investigating the matter.
Hundreds of bags of cement that were being ferried in the lorry were strewn on the road.
