At least three passengers have been injured in Somalia’s central region after gunmen attacked public service vehicle on Sunday night.

At least three passengers have been injured in Somalia’s central region after gunmen attacked public service vehicle on Sunday night.

The attack reportedly happened along Galkayo-Hobyo road in Mudug region.

Reports say a minibus travelling from Galkayo town to Hobyo was sprayed with bullets by unidentified assailants.

Villagers said Three passengers including two female were injured in the heinous attack in Central Somalia.

Witnesses said three of the passengers are in critical conditions and are undergoing treatment in treatment in Galkayo town.

The number of passengers who were travelling in the vehicle during the attack has not yet been established.

Mudug local authorities have also not yet commented on the incident.

No group claimed the responsibility for the attack against the passenger vehicle.
