A Merchant Vessel Catches Fire Near Bosaso Port

A commercial boat caught fire near Bosaso port on Monday, becoming the second marine incident since last February.

The local officials said the vessel transporting tonnes of trading goods, including fuel and brand new cars, went up in flames off Bosaso coast.

Puntland Maritime Forces have managed to rescue three Indian crew members after their boast caught the blaze.

The rescue operation has become unsuccessful as the state marine forces failed to safe the boast and the goods worth of millions of U.S. dollars.
