A Fierce Tribal Clashes Erupts In Middle Shabelle Region

More details are coming out of heavy inter-clan fighting erupted in Middle Shabelle region which left several people dead, according to the residents.

The combat broke out in rural areas located on the outskirts of Mahaday district on Sunday afternoon, leading to deadly confrontation between the two warring clan militias.

The battle continued for several hours and raged on until the night.

At least seven people were abducted by the attackers.

The situation is reported to be tense and local residents expressed concerns over the possible renewal of the fighting as both sides are regrouping and could likely to clash.
