Two men, of foreign nationality, were arraigned separately in the Gozo Courts on Christmas morning, the police said.
The two were involved in a fight in Xlendi on 30 December.
A 24-year-old Nigerian resident in Zebbug, Gozo, was charged with causing a grievous injury to a 30-year-old man, breaching the peace and creating public disorder, and breaching conditions imposed by a previous court ruling.
He pleaded not guilty but was refused bail.
A 30-year-old man of Somalia, resident in Munxar, was charged with public disorder and breaching the peace, as well as breaching conditions imposed by a previous court ruling. He was granted bail.
The prosecution was led by Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri.
The police did not give the names of the accused.
